Kung Fu Kids Spring Camp
April 14-18 and April 21, 2014
Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi is pleased to announce our spring camp for 2014.
Our six-day spring camp (Monday-Friday, April 14-18 and Monday, April 21) will include intensive practice
in kung fu as well as a chance to try crafts, Lion Dance, music, tumbling, yoga and
group games such as tag, dodge ball and more. Kids from 6 to 11 will have fun
while getting in great shape and learning new skills. Beginners with no
experience in kung fu or martial arts will learn basic techniques and forms,
while students with previous experience will have the opportunity to improve
their skills. Tumbling will include basic balance skills such as headstands and
handstands as well as working on rolls, cartwheels, headsprings, handsprings and
flips.
In addition to lots of physical activity, we provide campers other fun activities
such as the art of paper folding, Chinese calligraphy, cool science, music and
more. Dr. Wendy Ng, who has a background in science and art, is one of the
talented and knowledgeable instructors at Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai
Chi's camps.
Partcipants should bring their own snacks (we have 2 snack times each day) and
lunch - except on Friday when we will have a pizza party. The camp will run from 9:00 am

students who are enrolled in our Kung Fu Kids program can also stay to take a
4:00 pm to 5:00 pm class if it is at their belt level or below.
The cost is only $240 for the six-day camp, with a family discount of $25 off for each
additional sibling down to a minimum of $190. ($215 for second child, $150 for
third and for each additional).

Jing Ying Institute provides a caring, safe, and well-structured environment where children can develop their minds and bodies. Emphasis is placed on building strong moral character by developing manners, respect, discipline, confidence, and concentration. Children learn how to gain respect by respecting others. They have fun while developing physical skills and positive attitudes. Kung Fu is a "whole-body" activity that helps children improve balance, coordination, body awareness and good body mechanics. The benefits carry over to other sports and physical activities; schoolwork; and other endeavors.
