22nd Anniversary Celebration (Open House)

Raffle & Giveaways | Tea Gift | Moon Cake Treat | Face Painting
Lion Dance | Kung Fu & Tai Chi Demos | Charity Challenge

Jing Ying was unable to celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2020 for obvious reasons, so we decided to wait until this fall for our big celebration. Come join us!

September 10 is also the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, an important holiday in many Asian countries. We will have premium tea, moon cakes and other treats to celebrate.

Contributing to charities has been important to Jing Ying and our students throughout the years. This year is extra special. We've been featuring various charities at Jing Ying throughout 2022 and at our September 10 event, those charities will have tables set up. This is an opportunity for you to visit them. When you arrive at Jing Ying, you will receive a ballot that lists the various charities. You will vote for your favorite, place your filled-out ballot in the container we provide. The charity with the most votes will either receive the money raised during our annual silent auction OR they will be the recipient of $500 at Severna Park's Shop Local event in the spring (their choice). Your ballot also enters you into a door prize drawing.
It's a win for EVERYONE!

Estimated Schedule:

12:30 - Doors Open - Mingle and visit with the charities. Enjoy some light refreshments and receive a goodie bag with a packet of our anniversary tea, blended just for us by a tea specialist.

1:00 pm - Jing Ying Lion Dance Performance, followed by a ribbon cutting with and and presentation of citations from local officials.

1:30pm - Demonstrations of Kung Fu & Tai Chi

2:00pm - Mingle, enjoy refreshments, visit with the charities & place your vote for your favorite (don't worry, the other charities will have other opportunities to win a prize), tour Jing Ying, ask questions, and more!
