Essential Drills of Tian Shan Pai
Brought to the U.S.A. over 40 years ago by Grandmaster Willy Lin, Tian Shan Pai kung fu has proven itself to be an effective fighting system that also has beautiful empty-hand and weapons forms. In addition to two-person fighting sets, there are also many invaluable drills that help bridge the gap between forms and fighting skills.
Join us as Sigung Norman Smith of the Northern Shaolin visits to teach some essential drills for this art. While the drills come from Tian Shan Pai, they will help martial artists of any style improve their skills in fighting and in forms.
Sigung Smith began his formal martial arts training in 1966. He opened the Northern ShaoLin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Academy in Pennsylvania in 1975 and continues to teach a variety of classes. He is highly respected in the martial arts community and is a Disciple of Grandmaster Willy Lin.
